Ababu Namwamba, the Sport Cabinet Secretary has finally spilled the truth about being in a romantic entanglement with Tiktoker-cum-radio personality Azziad Nasenya.
For quite a long long time, Kenyans have been speculating that the two are dating. The rumours got into the internet two months ago, when Azziad shared a photo while enjoying Zip-lining in Dubai.

Online detectives discovered that the TikTok queen was donning sport shoes that had a striking resemblance to those of Ababu Namwamba. The shoes caught the attention of Kenyans, and quickly gained traction on social media, sparking dating rumours.

While speaking in an interview, the CS shut down social media critics by maintaining that he has no relationship with Azziad Nasenya whatsoever.
“No. Azziad is not my girlfriend. I actually feel so bad and sorry for the poor girl, You know me I have been in the trenches and when you work in public spaces you grow the skin of a crocodile, covered by Hippo covered by a skin of a Buffalo. People who have not circulated in this space go through it.“

The CS further disclosed that he was open to public scrutiny. He however displayed displeasure with those who spread rumours with intention of ruining someone’s reputation.
“While it is acceptable to keep public servants under scrutiny, it is also not fair to spread rumours and slander the character of other people. It is not right. Why would you want to want to destroy the reputation of somebody who, in my view, is a real hustler?“
Ababu added that the Ministry of Sports appointed Azziad alongside other talented Kenyans to a technical team because he believed they would add value.
