Kenyan comedian and activist Eric Omondi has opened up on allegations that he is a member of popular secret society – Illuminati.
While speaking to popular blogger Trudy Kitui, Omondi noted that for quite a long time Kenyans have been alleging that he is a member of the society. He however refuted the allegations, adding that he has never been a member.
The comedian said that the rumours about him being the member of the society associated with wealth, began making rounds on social media while he was still working at Churchill Show.

In the interview, he hilariously recalled when he received a call from a fan requesting him to help him join Illuminati.
According to Omondi he tried to explain to the fan that he is not a member. The fan however insisted and offered to pay in order to be recruited.
“The romour has been there…Since I was at Churchill Show. Mtu alinicall mchana na kunitaka nimsaidie kuingia iluminati. I told him that I didn’t know Illuminati. Nikamwambia siko. He called again at night and insisted that he wanted me to help him join Illuminati,” Omondi narrated.
“Nikamwambia nitakusaidia uingie iluminati lakini usiambie mtu. Kuingia unalipa 100k lakini kwa sasa nataka unitumie 50k, utakuja na mbuzi rangi nyeupe na 25k halafu nitakwambia venye utafanya. Na alituma. Pesa iliingia kwa hii simu yangu. Kama kuna pesa nishawahi kula ni hiyo. Akanipigia simu nilishika mara 2 nikamwambia wewe ni mjinga sana. Baadae nilimblock,” Omondi added.
The activist who is aspiring to join politics advised young people to work hard without expecting there is Illuminati to help them become rich fast without working hard.
“People must workm. Iluminati eti inakuwa nini. Sababu ilifanya nikule pesa za huyo kijana ni kwa vile alisisitiza kuingia iluminati kupitia kwangu,” he said.
