Class 8 Student Of Nkararo Primary School In Transmara Hits The Teacher

A class 8 student of Nkararo Primary school in in Transmara, Narok County is on run after hitting teacher who wanted to inspect his assignment.

The teacher identified as Charles Miruka reportedly sustained a wound that had a heavy bleeding. In the process, the teacher also lost his spectacles.

The Kenya Union Of Teachers Union ( KNUT) secretary general Collins Oyuu has condemned the act. He has called on the police to move with speed and arrest the culprit.

The teacher was rushed to the hospital where he was treated and discharged to go home. The student who is still on run has not been arrested.

Collins Oyuu now want the police to fasten the search of the 18 year old student and arrest him.

We are asking police to move with speed and arrest the culprit. It is sad that when teachers are assaulted, the issue is not taken with a lot of weight,” he said.
