● The former Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe was linked to the position of Director of Communications in the Deputy President’s office.
Jacque Maribe, a former Citizen TV prime-time news anchor, has denied receiving a lucrative government job.
The news that she had obtained a prestigious position in the government as the Director of Communications at the office of the Deputy President had circulated widely, especially on social media.
Maribe denied the allegations that she had been named the Director of Communication for Rigathi Gachagua in a statement uploaded on her Instagram account (Instagram stories), claiming that she had instead received numerous congratulations for her new position.
Maribe was moved by the kind gesture from her friends, family, and supporters, and she appreciated that they called it God’s plans—even though the rumour wasn’t real.
“I am not the Deputy President’s Office’s Director of Communications. I appreciate all of the kind wishes, phone calls, and texts. God mambo, “Maribe made a post to her Instagram stories.

The former TV journalist has experience in managing political communication because she served in Jimi Wanjigi’s secretariat while he was running for President on behalf of the Safina Party, despite the fact that his dream was dashed because he fell short of the requirement set by the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
After being implicated in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, Maribe’s burgeoning TV career took a bad turn, and since then, nothing has gone according to her plan.
However, things might go in her favour as information gathered from the crime scene showed that she was not involved in the killing of the businesswoman.
