Singer Bebe Cool to sue Airtel for ‘stealing’ his data bundles
On Wednesday, popular Ugandan singer Mosses Ssali popularly known as Bebe cool threatened to sue and demand sh. 200 million compensation from Airtel Uganda, after he reportedly lost 22 Gb worth of data. He lamented that the glitch costed him millions of money because his scheduled zoom meeting was affected.
The singer who has given Airtel a 21 Day ultimatum to pay said failure by the Telecommunication company to do so will force him to head to the court for legal battle.
While lovebirds spent Wednesday celebriting Valentines Day, Bebe Cool spent the day waiting to hear from Airtel after his lawyer serves the big company a legal notice.
“The underserved sudden disappearance of my data bundle affected my Zoom business meeting that was scheduled for the same day. I was forced to incur the cost of traveling together with my team for a physical meeting in Lagos,” Bebe Cool narrated the bad ordeal.
The singer disclosed that on January 16, at around 9:56, he purchased a monthly Data bundle of 22 Gb at a cost of Sh. 50,000.
He admitted that although the fall in data balance depends on the user’s data usage, he was not convinced that his data bundles could have finished so fast.
“At around 10 at night I opened TikTok account and scrolled through some video. My data usage report indicated that I did not spend more than 300Mb. I then plugged the phone into charger in preparation for the business Zoom meeting,” he lamented.
