Moses Kuria was born on January 22, 1971, in Gatundu, Kiambu County, Kenya. He attended Gatunganga Primary School and later joined Kagumo High School for his secondary education. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Nairobi. Before joining politics, Kuria worked in the private sector, where he held senior positions in various companies, including East African Breweries Limited (EABL) and Diamond Trust Bank. Political Career In 2013, Kuria ventured into politics and vied for the Gatundu South parliamentary seat on a TNA (The National Alliance) party ticket, which he won. He was re-elected in the 2017 general elections on a Jubilee Party ticket. He was recently appointed by President William Ruto as the Cabinet Secretary for Trade. Kuria is known for his outspokenness and controversial statements on various issues affecting the country. He has been involved in several controversies, including being arrested in 2015 for allegedly inciting violence and hate speech. In addition to his political career, Kuria is a successful businessman and is involved in various business ventures, including the hospitality industry. Overall, Moses Kuria has made a name for himself in Kenyan politics and is considered one of the most vocal and controversial politicians in the country. Moses Kuria Wife and Children Moses Kuria is married to Joyce Njambi. The two are blessed with two boys.It is believed that he met his wife in Australia, where he was working as a banker. The former MP of Gatundu South has successfully managed to keep his family out of public domain. Moses Kuria Businesses and Networth Besides politics, Moses Kuria is a successful businessman who is known to have owned several businesses in Kenya over the years. Some of the businesses that he has been associated with include: 1. Prize Communications Limited - This is a public relations and advertising firm that Kuria founded in 1995. The company offers a range of services, including media relations, crisis management, event management, and market research. 2. Royal Media Services - Kuria has been a shareholder in Royal Media Services, which is one of the largest media houses in Kenya. The company owns several radio and TV stations, including Citizen TV, Inooro TV, and Ramogi FM. 3. Real estate - Kuria has been involved in the real estate business in Kenya, and he has been reported to own several properties in various parts of the country. 4. Farming - Kuria has also been involved in farming, particularly in his home county of Kiambu. He has been reported to own a large farm where he grows various crops and keeps livestock. While speaking during his vetting for the cabinet secretary position, Moses Kuria revealed that he is worth Ksh. 750 millions. He noted that his wealth is majorly drawn from his businesses and investments. It is however worth noting that Kuria is primarily known for his political career, and his businesses have not been a major focus of public attention.
