Kenya’s deputy President William Ruto has been declared the President elect in a hotly contested Presidential Elections.
After the long voting and tallying Process, Kenya’s Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) says Ruto has emerged the winner.
This is after garnering 7,176,141 votes (50.49%) against Raila Odinga, 6, 942,930 votes (48.85).
William Ruto has further attained the 50%+1 of votes which is the requirement of the constitution.
William Ruto and his deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are set to be sworn into the office after 14 days if there will be no electoral disputes.

Some of Nairobi business people said that they will close their businesses on the day to avoid unnecessary losses.A section of Kenyans further listed a number of young persons who should be in front line. They include; Winnie Odinga and Raila Junior. They are the ODM leader Raila Oding's children. Raila is the force behind the planned Mass action. Winnie Odinga was recently nominated as member of Parliament for EALA. George Mariga. He is Martha Karua's son. He is works as news reporter at KTN. Karua was the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance Deputy President designate. She is very vocal in pushing for the mass action.Kalonzo Musyoka's children.
