Angaine secondary school in Timau, Meru County is mourning the death of their teacher. Madam Jennifer Wangui succumbed to a grisly road accident that took place at the famous Subuiga black spot in Meru County.
Madam Jennifer was among 11 people who passed away after a speeding bus rammed a matatu from the rear. According to the reports, the bus was carrying drunk youths who were heading to Ruger’s performance at Kinoru stadium.
7 people from the matatu Jennifer was boarding and 4 others from the bus passed away on the spot.
Madam Jenifer was a teacher of Geography and CRE. She was also the school CU patron.
Jennifer Wangui was married to Mr. Robert, a teacher and a CU patron at Mwithu Mwiru secondary school.
Teachers have eulogized the teacher as jovial and friendly.
Alex Murithi referred to her as a staff-room Catechist, whose service to students and God was immeasurable.
“I have been clinging to hope all morning. When people said that things were bad, I prayed that yoyu survived and maybe fighting your life. But when it became clear that you did not survive my hear aches for you.
Rest in peace Tr. Jennifer, our staffroom catechist,” teacher Alex wrote on social media.
