The ceremony was attended by popular Kikuyu media personalities like Muthee Kiengei, Samido and Wangeci wa Kariuki. Before then, the gospel singer was reportedly married to a man identified as Lincoln. The duo were blessed with three children.

Career
Besides music, May is a professional hair dresser. She once owned an executive salon around Gikomba. The shop was reportedly one of the best in the area.
She also owns a big men-shoes-shop in Nairobi CBD.

On 25th of October 2022, famous blogger who disguises as Martha Mwiaki Hinga made a shocking expose.
In the post, the blogger exposed the singer for engaging in sex in exchange for money. According to Martha, Mary was exposing her curvy body in order to get Ksh.35,000 rent.
