Presidential Results: IEBC asks court ask Court to throw away court cases challenging the eligibility of william Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua

According to the commission, the case that has been filed between the two is not substantial.

IEBC was responding to the petitions filed by 11 people led by Meshack Suba and Kenneth Njagi.

The commission has argued that the integrity issues that have been raised by the petitioners might thwart the role of IEBC in the Presidential elections.

The commission has further noted that the Supreme Court has no mandate to say who should and who should vie in any elective post in a general application.

In a response by United Democratic Party (UDA) leaders, any case that has been raised after an election has kicked off should wait until votes have been tallied and presidential results announced.

The 11 petitioners through lawyer kibe have argued that IEBC did not do vetting to determine whether Rigathi Gachagua nis fit to run as William Ruto’s deputy.

William Ruto and Raila Odinga are the two horses hoping to emerge winners in the ongoing Presidential results tallying by the IEBC.
