Comedian Eric Omondi found himself on the wrong side of the law days after being released on bond. The self-made activist arrested immediately after his arrival at City Stadium Where he was to give out free maize flour.
His plans were cut shot by a contingent of police officers who apprehended him and took him to Industrial police station.
Earlier on, the comedian disclosed his plans to feed the hungry Kenyans. He asked Kenyans to donate Unga towards the initiative.

In a message he shared on social media, Eric Omondi argued that Kenyans are sleeping hungry due to hogh cost of living.
“So this is the Plan. Next Week Tuesday 7th March we will March to State House from Uhuru Park to Present our CVs, Rent Arrears, School Fee Arrears, Basic Goods Shopping Lists and Electricity Bills. This Wednesday we meet at City Stadium from 11am to 2pm as we share a packet of Unga with everyone that intends to join us to State house. We are calling upon well wishers to donate Unga (DO NOT GIVE MONEY, JUST UNGA) If you want to donate a packet or more please Contact 0718891427 or bring the unga to City Stadium on Wednesday. #UNGAnaMovement.” Eric Omondi wrote on social media.
During the Arrest, Omondi maintained that he will continue fighting for poor Kenyans. He said he will not sick back when Kenyans are dying of hunger.
The incidence comes a week after the comedian was arrested as he led shirtless men for a demonstration at Parliament.
He was apprehended alongside his friends after he refused to stop the demonstration.
The youths were carrying placards written “high cost of living” high cost of electricity” “stima juu, taxi juu” among other publications.

After spending a night in the police cells, Eric and his friends appeared before the Milimani Law court. They however pleaded not-guilty for causing a public nuisance and participating in an unlawful assembly.
The court granted the protesters a KES 20,000 bond or an alternative bail of KES 10,000 each and the case was set to be mentioned on March 6 for pre-trial.
Eric Omondi may rot in jail
While reacting to his most recent arrest, Kenyan have now warned Eric Omondi that he risks rotting in jail if he goes on with demonstration. One of his fans urged him to go slow.
“Omosh kuja pole pole. Utaozea jela na wakenya hawatakusaidia. Acha kushindana na serikali 😂,” the fan commented.
