Lucrative jobs Chemutai Goin and Hassan Mugambi will take after quitting Citizen Tv

As the African adage goes, Where there’s some there’s fire. Kenyan talented journalists Hassan Mugambi and Chemutai Goin have sparked rumours on social media of exit from Citizen Tv for greener pastures.

According to the sources close to the two journalists, the duo are set to leave the giant media house in match for lucrative government jobs.

Sources have have further revealed that Hassan Mugambi is set to start up a new job at the ministry of defense under Aden Duale, while Chemutai will work in the office of Speaker of National Assembly Moses Wetangula.

The rumours have ignited heated debate on social media with a section of Kenyans saying that they will miss the News bulletin of the two popular journalist. Another section of Kenyans on social media faulted government, saying that it is ‘stealing’ the best journalist Hussein Mohamed, Kanze Dena and Francis Gachuri from Royal Media Services.

After quitting job at K24, Hassan Mugambi who has won the hearts of many due to his calm demeanor and deep voice, joined Citizen Tv in 2016 as news reporter. He currently doubles up as news anchor.

On the other hand, Chemutai joined KTN as an intern immediately after completing college studies. While there she took a special interest in reporting. It is in KTN that Chemutai furnished her journalism skills.

Goin landed her first job in Capital FM as a reporter. Other media houses did not take long to notice her prowess. Not long after working in Capital FM, Chemutai joined Media Max where she covered politics/current affairs for K24.

In 2018, Citizen TV could not wait any longer to have her on board. Immediately after joining the giant media house, Chemutai understood her role well. She spiced the screens with well narrated events of 2017 general elections.
