Education CS Ezekiel Machogu left Kenyans talking, after he was captured on camera dishing out TSC Employment letters in a public gathering. The CS, who had carried several employment letters was heard calling on the members of public to go and grab the opportunity to become government-employed teachers.
“Na kama Kuna jirani pengine anahitaji kazi ya ualimu,…huyu Sasa amajaza kazi ya ualimu,” he said as referred to a teacher who had already signed employment form.
The CS was speaking during the burial of MCA Elijah Osiemo, who died through a tragic road accident. Hon. Elijah Osiemo was the leader of Majority Party and Member of County Assembly for Nyamira County.
In the video shared by Channel 7 NEWS TV EA, a young man waded his way through the crowd to the CS, and went down on knees. The young man was seen begging the CS for a letter. The CS heard his plea and the young man couldn’t hide his joy has he waved the letter to the public.

The video has elicited mixed reactions, with a section of Kenyans expressing displeasure with Ezekiel Machogu’s action. According to some Kenyans, the move by the CS to give out employment letters in one part of the country is wrong, considering that he is a national figure.
