Jaguar, whose true name is Charles Njagua Kanyi, is one of Kenya’s wealthiest celebrity politicians, owning houses worth millions of shillings.

Jaguar gained notoriety as a musician thanks to his numerous successful songs, including “Kigeugeu” and “Kipepeo,” among others.

He amassed a fortune as a musician, and in 2017 he made the decision to enter politics. He ran for the Starehe constituency seat and won.

The public is aware of two multibillion dollar residences owned by the former Starehe MP.

Athi River, Machakos county

Jaguar has a four-bedroom mansion for Ksh37.67 million in the Greenpark community in Athi River, Machakos county.

Located at Athi River, 30 kilometers from the Nairobi CBD, Greenpark is a master-planned gated community with over 500 completed and inhabited residences.

Jaguar’s villa has two servant quarters, a covered and cabro-paved garage parking area, and front and back gardens. It is situated on a parcel of land that is 1/4 of an acre in size.

The villa has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, an upstairs family room with hardwood flooring, a large open-concept kitchen with hardwood cabinets, mahogany floors and stairways, a double-volume living room with a fireplace, a laundry room, solar water heating, 10,000 liters of underground storage, and 7,500 liters of rainwater collection.

Nyeri bungalow

Jaguar reportedly spent Ksh9 million building a sizable bungalow at his remote residence in Nyeri district.

The Starehe MP shared pictures of his rural mansion on social media on August 20, 2021, while also reflecting on his modest upbringing.

“I left my house without my shoes 13 years ago… The return is God’s work,” Jaguar wrote.
