Lady identified as Elsie has elicited heated debate on social media, after opening up during an Interview with Wasafi Tv, the pain and struggle of living with hirsutism.
What is Hirsutism?
Hirsutism is a condition that causes unwanted hair to grow on woman’s face, chest and back. The condition is majorly caused by excess male hormone (Androgens) in a womans body.
According to Healthline.com, 5 to 10 percent of women suffer from the Hirsutism. It can can be caused by a medical condition or through inheritance from the family.
Speaking to Wasafi Tv, Elsie narrated the struggle of living with the condition. The mother of one, whose face is covered with beards shared that men fear to date her.

She said that people keep asking her friends whether she is transgender. She noted that she is a woman like any other.
Further, she shared that men mistake her for transgender, and run away once they discover her facial looks. She however noted that she has already accepted herself and that she believes God has a purpose for her life.
“I face a lot of challenges especially in love life. Men run away from me. Nobody want to date me because of my looks. I have already accepted myself because it’s natural.I would like to clarify that I am a woman. I have been blessed with one daughter and I am just okay. Many people wonder when they see me because I look different, but I am just like any other woman. Men fear me and they go around asking my friends if I am a real woman or transgender,” Elsie told Wasafi Tv.
