Female grocery vendors popularly known as Mama Mboga play a very important role in the society. If social media tales about them is anything to go by, then they hold a special place in Kenyans hearts.
Various approaches have been used to show how special mama mbogas are. They specifically have a soft spot for bachelors.
In one of the meme that went viral, one Kenyan revealed how bad he feels when he fails to be loyal to his mama mboga. The memer narrated how bad it feels when you buy groceries from another mama mboga, and pass by your usual mama mboga.

Mama mboga on wrong paths
A section of Kenyans have however lamented about the behavior that is cropping up among the vendors.
While taking to social media, Upcoming comedian MC Eddie Comedian shared a photo of plastic bags with greens halfway. The bags were inflated to appear as if they were filled with greens.
“Leo ni kama tunakula ugali na hewa,” he wrote.

Yet another Kenyan lamented how a mama mboga inquisitive nature made him lose his girlfriend.
