In the myriad of changes Elon Musk is making since he bought Twitter, now known as X, it is clear that he is on a mission to improve the dating life of millions of people who use the platform.
Last week, the Twitter owner Elon Musk together with CEO Linda Yaccarino held a conference with employees to celebrate one year since he purchased the platform. During the 45 minutes meeting, Elon disclosed his plans of transforming Twitter, now X, into an “Everything platform”.
Among the plans were to improve the financial life of X users, through introducing a earn-from video program, like in YouTube and LinkedIn. He said that the platform will soon launch a button for video hangout, similar to FaceTime if Apple.
Further, Elon Musk revealed his plans of making X a dating site.
“Some of my friends got their partners through the platform. We can still improve the platform to make dating easy,” he said.
The Twitter owner underlined that the new feature will help users in discovery of their perfect matches.
“There’s already some stuff happening to some degree. But I think we might be able to improve the dating situation. Part of it is how do you discover interesting people? Discovery is tough,” Musk said.

Elon Musk bought Twitter in October 2022 at a whooping 44B Dollars. Ever since, the giant social media has witnessed several changes including getting named X.
Recently, X introduced audio and video features on its platform to enable users have a more advanced mode of communication.
Beside the features, users are also able to post a long wording post of over 50 characters as a way of enhancing storytelling and information delivery.
The platform boasts over half a billion users every month and 100 billion impressions per day.
