Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga has been caught between rock and a hard place in
determining his running mate ahead of 2022 general elections.
While Kenyans have been speculating on him getting a runningmate from Mt. Kenya region, Mombasa
governor Hassan Joho want to take the position.
According to Joho, coastal region has been supporting Raila for over to decades and he should therefore
pick a runningmate from the region.
In the recent opinion polls, Agriculture cabinet secretary Peter Munya tops the list of the most preferred
running mate followed by Peter Kenneth.
While 2022 polls, the struggle for presidency has been projected as two horse race between William
Ruto and Raila Odinga, none of the candidate has presented a runningmate.

Kenya Kwanza Unhappy with Raila Odinga Recently, the ODM party leader sparked outrage among Kenya Kwanza politicians following his remarks during his visit to Mukuru Kwa Njenga flood victims. In his speech, Raila condemned the ongoing evictions in the Mukuru slums, the the government as inhumane. Further, the unleashed wrath on President William Ruto, in which he termed him as a clueless leader. In their comeback, a section of Kenya Kwanza leaders fired back at Raila Odinga. Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa called out the former Prime Minister for being ungrateful despite president's efforts to pull him out of the mud.
