The news that popular American singer Madonna is in Kenya has left several Kenyans excited. In photos that are circulating on social media, the pop queen is seen interacting with residents of Kibera, Nairobi.
Madonna jetted into Kenya on Tuesday, 3rd January. She spent the entire Day promoting the welfare of Kibera residents.
The Singer is visiting Kenya with Shofco organization which was created to end gender-based violence by empowering women and improving the lives of residents living in the slums.
Before traveling to Kenya, Madonna had gone to Malawi where she released her new single Back That Up To The Beat, a new version of the 2015 song.
“Back that up to the Beat……in Malawi streaming on all platforms now !!@raisingmalawi,” Madonna wrote.
Madonna also visited Kenya in 2017, to support former First Lady Margret Kenyatta’s Beyond Zero campaign.
