“He Began Ailing While In Kenya,” Details of Zabron Singers Marco Joseph Demise

Today, Thursday 22, gospel music enthusiasts have been left in shock following sudden demise of Zabron Singers soloist Marco Joseph.

Members of Zabron Singers broke the sad news, revealing that Marco Joseph passed on while undergoing treatment at MuiMbili National Hospital, in Dar Esalam Tanzania.

Zabron Singers are known for their famous gospel hits like Mkono Wa Bwana, Sweetie among many others. Marcos played a very crucial role in the team – as a chairperson of the group and assistant trainer.

While speaking to Wasafi Tv, one of the members of the group disclosed that Marco Joseph began ailing while in Kenya.

We were heading to Kisumu, Kenya on 10th of August, for a big meeting. Marcos began complaining about chest pain and body weakness. After an hour, he said he was okay and we went to Kisumu. While there he continued to complain of chest pain. We took him to a good hospital, which confirmed that he had a serious heart disease.” he said.

He went on to say,” We took him to Jakaya Hospital which confirmed that he had a serious heart disease that required an urgent surgery. He was referred to MuiMbili National Hospital. He was scheduled to have surgery yesterday, 1st August.”

He got into theatre room during morning hours. Doctors tried to save his life. Towards midnight we got reports that our friend had left us.”

Marco has left behind one wife and four children.

Some prominent Kenyan have joined others in sending their condolences to Zabron Singers memby, family and friends.

MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua wrote on social media, “Deeply saddened by the news of the passing on of Marco Joseph of Zabron Singers of Tanzania. I had the opportunity of hosting the amazing group in our offices early this year when they came to register as members of MCSK. Marco was a jovial and friendly person. May his soul RIP.”
