From fame to shame: The dwindling music career of Takataka hit-maker Alvindo
Singer Alvindo was undoubtedly one of the most promising musicians in Kenya. Alvindo rose to fame in 2019 after his hit ‘Takataka’ went viral.
The singer reportedly recorded the song after a bitter break up with his girlfriend. The song was about the heartbreak. In the song, Alvindo dismissed his girlfriend as trash.
Through Takataka, Alvindo brand name was able feature in big platforms. The singer found himself on bigger platforms like Churchill show, 10/10, the trend many among others.
Music enthusiasts have raised concerns about the whereabouts of Alvindo.Even though the Singer has released some other hits, his popularity is dwindling day by day.

KRG the Don Deal
At the helm of the fame KRG the Don signed Alvindo under his fast cash records. The deal was worth 2 million shillings. The music producer was determined to help Alvindo grow his music career.
KRG however says Alvindo was under a lot pressure. According to him Alvindo was being influenced by his friends into sourcing for quicker ways of making money. The young talented musician found himself into drug abuse. As a result, KRG dropped him out of his label.
