Nigerian Singer Ayra Starr to perform in Kenya

Ayra Starr set to perform alongside Mejja and Khaligraph

Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr has announced that she will be performing in Kenya soon.

The star will entertain Kenyans alongside Mejja and Khaligraph Jones at the Shoke Shoke festival which is aimed at promoting sustainability.

The event wich is dubbed shoke shoke (an alias of Kesho kesho) will seek to address to address the need of protecting ‘the tomorrow’. It is set to take place between 3rd and4th March at KICC.

In the festival, there will be no single use plastics and there will be recycling points .

Additionally, 10,000 trees will be planted in partnership with Miti Alliance and the Kenya Forest Services.

The event has been organized by Mwanaume Ni Effort initiative. According to the organisers, sustainable music festival will be the first of its kind in Nairobi with the aim of educating the youth on the importance of going green for a sustainable environment.

We are passionate about both entertainment and the environment. We also believe that the best way to reach Gen Zā€™s and millennials with the message of sustainability is through music and entertainment. The environment is our home and the more we destroy our home, the more we will suffer the consequences of our action.
