“Ilikuwa Dowry 😭,” Wife of KeRRA Employee Whose Account with 21 Million was frozen cries
Imagine missing out your ‘Big Day’ over misunderstanding. Well, this is the painful story of Daniel Munyoki Wambua’s wife Judy Vaati.
Recently, Judy painfully disclosed that they are risking missing out their highly anticipated Dowry Paint. This after Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) through the court froze Ksh. 21.2 million in the bank account of her to-be husband, who is an employee of Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA).
While opening up to BigTech Media, Judy submitted strong evidence alleging that the funds raised were from friends and family raised through an organized WhatsApp group created by Daniel.
“When I heard about Daniel’s bank account being frozen, I felt a deep hurt in my heart. This account was meant for our dowry, a symbol of our love and commitment to each other. Seeing him go through this ordeal breaks my heart.
I can’t help but sympathize with Daniel. I see the pain in his eyes, the stress he’s under, and it hurts me too. It’s unjust that he’s accused of something he didn’t do.
The way he was humiliated in front of my family is something I wish he never had to go through.“
Judi Vaati who believes that their was misunderstanding further stated that she hopes the issue will be resolved soonest possible.
“EACC alleged that Daniel was earning just 55,000, yet his recent payslips clearly indicate a monthly salary of 170,000. It’s disheartening to witness such disparities, and it calls into question the fairness of our system.
All I want is for this to be resolved quickly, for him to be able to pay the dowry, and for us to move on to happier times. The accusations have strained our relationship, and I long for a future where we can put this behind us and build a life filled with love, happiness, and peace together.” She said.
She went on to state that she has evidence that she is willing to provide before the court.
“I want to emphasize that the funds in question were specifically intended for our dowry day. We have solid evidence in the form of screenshots from our family and friends’ WhatsApp group, showing their contributions.
All we truly desire is to find happiness, to embrace the love we share on our dowry day without the heavy burden of doubt.“
