Joel Rabuku Omondi, the son of the late CDF Francis Ogolla warmed the hearts of many Kenyans following his touchy speech during his father’s send-off.
Besides displaying high-level of eloquence, Netizens noted that Joel exuded alot of wisdom and courage.
In his speech, Joel mourned his father as a person who exhibited servant leadership by respecting everyone around him. He also noted that Francis Ogolla loved God, adding that he had his bible everywhere even at the time of his death.
“I can guarantee you right now that the General viewed us all the same and treated everyone with respect. His worst days were when he heard that his soldiers had been hit. He would actually mourn like he was mourning a child
“He would go down on his knees and pray to God and ask for more strength to combat Al Shabaab terrorists and bandits. This is what he was doing when he went down.”he said.
Joel who appeared full of courage amidst the grieving, called soldiers to remain resolute in carrying on his father’s wish of a peaceful Kenya.
“To members of the special forces, when you are assigned missions to go and battle the enemy, don’t fret. Crush them all. That’s how my father would have wanted.
“In fact the late General wanted to die fighting one of these enemies. Do not be afraid of terrorists and bandits. If my father wasn’t, then why should you?” He added.
While reacting to his speech, Kenyans on social media expressed deep admiration for Joel Rabuku, noting that he possessed wisdom, courage and resilience of his father.
Blogger Derrick Mbugua wrote on his FB page saying: “The Generals son is a leader in the making brave,wise and eloquent ,well brought up child .The family is in safe hands.”
