Eric Omondi Helps Young Man Who Saved JKIA Board a Plane
Henry, the Young man who shot into limelight for speaking in a loud voice, against the sale of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), earlier this year during Anti-government protests has finally boarded a plane.
Comedian and philanthropist Eric Omondi made the revelation on Monday morning, marking a significant moment for the young man. The comedian who also helped him join TVET in September, disclosed that the internet sensation was boarding the plane for the first time in his lifetime.
In his post, Eric Omondi commended Henry for his efforts to fight against the ‘sale’ of JKIA.
“Our Brother today Boarded a plane and landed at JKIA for the Very First time Ever. We celebrate and Appreciate him.” He wrote.
Further, Omondi confirmed that Henry is going on with his tertiary education, where he is pursuing mechanics.
” We enrolled him at a TVET…He wants to be a mechanic..”
Henry rose into fame in th month of July during the anti-government protests. This is after a video of him fearlessly calling out government over claims of intention to lease Jomo Kenyatta International airport, went viral.
In the video, the young man claimed that the government was planning to sell the International airport to an Indian investor.
“Ameuza airport. Ameuzia muhidi. Sijui huyo muhidi,” he was heard saying.
Later, Eric Omondi looked for him and enrolled him for higher education at Ndere Polytechnic TVET.
