Dr. Paul Bundi Karau is a renowned Kenyan doctor and academic giant. His journey to the prominent Career is a reflection of sheer determination and hard work.
Early Life and Education of Dr. Bundi karau
Dr Bundi Karau hails from Tigania, Meru County, Kenya. He did his secondary school studies at Kanyakine High School, where he excelled academically and became the top candidate in the 2002 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
Speaking in a previous interview, Dr. Bundi disclosed that he did not score a very strong grade in Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) , which resulted to his admission to a not very prominent Highschool. His dream of studying medicine however pushed him to work hard, making him clinch the top most positions in 2002 KCSE exam.
He also noted that his passion for medicine was sparked by stories of doctors and their work, which he read about in newspapers
“While in school I knew my competition was in Starehe and other top schools. I was working hard to qualify for a degree in medicine,” he stated.
Owing to his exceptional performance, Karau was admitted to the University of Nairobi to undertake a Bachelor of Science degree from 2004 to 2010.Subsequently, he pursued a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and a Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine at the same institution.
