DP Rigathi Gachagua Reveals His Favourite Kenyan Artist

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua opened up on being a victim of cyber bullying. The second in command shared that he went through a period of victimization from Kenyans on social media.

Rigathi Gachagua was speaking on Thursday evening during the launch of ‘The Bahati’s Empire’, a new reality show that will play on Netflix. He urged Kenyans creatives not to be discouraged social media ridicule and cyber bullying.

If I were to get distracted, myself, I would not be Deputy President. You know the way I’ve been bullied in online spaces and political rallies. Some said I don’t know English. Others wakasema I don’t know how to dress well. But mnaona vile nakaa,” Rigathi Gachagua said.

Speaking about the dynamics of Kenyan politics, Rigathi Gachagua pointed fingers to a section of Kenyans on social media, for taking his noble actions out context.

The deputy president cited the recent backlash he has undergone in his quest to presumably unite the people of his backyard, Mt. Kenya region.

Many people when they see we are focused and we get along with the people of Kenya and they appreciate us, they now call me a tribalist because I want to unite my people,” stated the DP.

Never get distracted by prophets of doom, naysayers and envious people with evil hearts and they are very many. Today, I am focused on assisting President Ruto and assisting this great country.”

The Deputy President also expressed his interest and knowledge in local music, revealing that he is an ardent fan of legendary rapper Prezzo.

Bahati and the rest of you…by the way Prezzo I am your fan, I listen to your music,” he said.

“And by the way many people don’t know me, mimi ni mtu wa muziki. I love music because it is soothing to the heart.

The Deputy President went on to urge content creators to produce clean content that will not corrupt the morals of children and the society.

Remember we have children and young ones who will watch your show, what are you telling them, how are you preparing them for life? So as much as you want to entertain us be mindful of our young children,” he said.
