“Nisaidie,” 15-year Old girl Abandoned by Parents who Scored 353 In KCPE Cry For Help To Join Form One

A 2022 KCPE candidate who scored 353 marks out of 500 is at the risk of missing out admission to Form One over lack of fees.
The 15-year old girl, Edith Nyaboke hails from a very humble background and thus cannot raise Ksh. 62,000 fees to be admitted at Kereri Girl’s highschool.
Nyaboke and her siblings were abandoned by their mother in 2012, leaving them at the mercy of neighbors.
While speaking to the media, Nyaboke narrated the stuggles she has gone through. The bright girl and her siblings do not know their father or any relative. They have been forced to rely on well-wishers and good Samaritan.

The girl has now appealed to Kisii governor Simb Arati and other political leaders to chip in amd help her.
Kisii-based Human right activists Alfred Akama noted that their is a lot of curruption in the issuance of bursaries.
While addressing the media, Akama asked the county government and area MP to ensure transparency in the allocation of the bursaries.
He further emphasized on the need of giving bright students from poor background the first priority.
