Kithure Kindiki Vows to End Bribes And Violence

Nominated Interior cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki has mentioned two things he intends to do once approved for the position.

Kindiki while speaking on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 during the vetting process has said that bribing to get a job will be a thing of the past.

According to him, many Kenyans are forced to dig deep into their pockets to get a police or armed forces job. He has vowed to end menace. In his statement, Kindiki has said no Kenyans will pay a penny to get a job in Interior ministry.

I want to assure Kenyans that once I am approved, I will do all it take to end bribing. No Kenyan will pay a shilling to get a job in police force, prison or any other formation in the ministry,” he said.

Kindiki has also vowed to deal with terrorism and other security threats squarely. He said said he will have no option but to use violence to counter violence.

The former Tharaka Nithi senator has pledged to discharge his mandate effectively.

Violence is not an option but one of the options when it comes to security threat. There is no other way of dealing with banditry attackers who steal cows from innocent Kenyans,” he added.

The renowned lawyer has added that he will mercilessly use violence lawfully to counter criminals.

Even the most developed democracies use violence to protect 99% of citizens against 1% of criminals,” Kindiki said.
