“Warembo walikuwa wamenikataa,” Comedian Tom Daktari on why he almost became a priest

Speaking during an Interview at Radio 47, Kenyan comedian Tom Daktari shared his journey to the cream of Kenyan Entertainment Industry. He narrated how he carved a name for himself in the sector.

Further, the comedian who has a unique way of rib cracking, shared her dark past. He narrated how multiple rejection by ladies made the idea of becoming a priest to linger into his mind.

Niliona kama maisha itakuwa hivi, nitateseka sana. Niliona mapenzi haitanikubali,” comedian Tom Daktari said.

Tom Daktari explained that the situation was so bad that even those (ladies) that he deemed cheapest still rejected him.

Unaona mtu unajiambia, eeh, sasa huyu akinikataa atakubali nani, na unaenda anakukataa! Hataki kugrow na mimi. Naona ndugu zangu ambao ni bure wanachukuwa tu, wanakubalika tu. Nikikumbuka, hiyo kitu inaniuma. Vibe sikuwa nayo. Nashangaa unakaa one hour na msichana, mnasema nini hapa?

Further, the comedian underscored the importance of nurturing beards, adding that they have boosted his confidence and success rate on getting new catches.

Nishukuru ndevu. Tofauti imekuwa kubwa sana. Ukichunga ndevu zako, hata bila pesa, huwezi kukaa vibaya. Inawork. Sasa hivi mabinti wananikubali. Nataka nione itakuwaje. Kwa sababu Walinikataa, kipindi hiki natafuta wale ambao sasa nalipiza kwanza,” the comedian jokingly said.
