“Mum ako na cancer,” Video of Colonel Mustafa working in a Mjengo goes viral
Kenyan legendary singer colonel Mustafa has caused a stir on social media after a video of him working in a construction site, popularly known as mjengo went viral.
In the short clip, the Lenga stress – hitmaker is seen carrying stones while handing them to the masons. He is also captured mixing sand, cement and ballast.
Kenyans raised concerns about the welfare of the artist who was once high-flying, with his music playing at every household. They wondored what has happened to Mustafa, who in the past was living lavishly like a king.
While a section of Kenyans, felt sorry for him, others lauded his move, saying that working in mjengo is better than begging for help. A section also speculated that Mustafa was clout chasing, so that he can release a new hit.

Colonel Mustafa Reveals mum has cancer
While speaking through a phone call, the singer revealed that he is indeed very broke. He further disclosed that his mother is suffering from cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
