MP Jalang’o Enrolls For Masters Degree At Dayster University
Media personality Felix Odiwor popularly known as Jalang’o has taken a bold step to further his education. The Lang’ata member of Parliament has enrolled for a Masters Degree in Dayster University.
While breaking the news on social media, Jalang’o has attributed his move to MC Jessy. The lawmaker has said Jessy is the one who encouraged him to go back to books.
“If it were not for Jessy, this would have never happened. Yaani Jessy I just don’t know how to thank you,” Jalang’o said.
The witty rib-cracker has also thanked Kilonzo- a communication director at Daystar University, for showing him the importance of furthering his studies.
“I don’t know how to just say thank you again, because in 2013 there was this amazing man at Daystar University he was called bwana Kilonzo, the Communications Director,” he added.
Jalang’o graduated from the same university two years a go with a Bachelor of Arts ( Community Development).
He now dedicated his Masters degree to his father, whom he says has been a great source of support.
From A Fishermen to MP and Masters Degree Student
Jalang’o rose to fame through acting. Before then, he was a fisherman and a fishmonger in Homabay Town.
His candle lit when he decided to dip himself into entertainment industry. He became popular through his role in a local TV show Papa Shirandiula. The show would later propel him to become one of the most sought after media personalities.
From there, Jalang’o worked with several media stations with the most recent being Kiss FM. He also owns a digital Tv show popularly known as Bonga na Jalas.
Jalang’o recently floored Nixon Korir in Lang’ata parliamentary seat contest. Being a first time parliamentarian, Jalang’o has however revealed that he has so much to learn.
