A middle aged man from Laare in Meru County on Monday had his hand chopped off during Raila
Odinga’s visit in the town.
Josphat Mwingirwa, an ardent supporter of DP Ruto says he raised a handwritten placard with the name
RUTO during the Laare Azimio la Umoja meeting when the incident occurred.
According to Mwingirwa, goons armed with machetes positioned to guard the meeting suddenly
appeared and chopped his hand.
Mwingirwa was rescued from the rowdy ‘guards’ and later rushed to a nearby hospital by 2 good
samaritans.
