Kenyans have blamed ODM leader Raila Odinga for Arsenal defeat in favor of Liverpool. According to Kenyans, every live match Raila attends, the team he supports loses.
Raila Odinga announced that he would watch a live match between Arsenal and Liverpool at Emirates stadium in London.
The 2022 presidential contestant is on a five day working trip to United Kingdom (UK).
Raila Odinga predicted that Arsenal would win 2-0. The results turned directly opposite.
Arsenal had dominated during the first half. Liverpool breakthrough came just minutes after a misplaced backpass had almost gifted Arsenal a goal, when Diogo Jota was played through by Thiago and beat goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale at his near post. It came shortly after Alisson had brilliantly denied Martin Odegaard.
The win was tightened eight minutes later when Roberto Firmino squeezed the ball under Ramsdale giving after gunners failed to clear the box.
Raila Odinga was accompanied by COTU Secretary Francis Atwoli,Siaya Senator James Orengo, Mombasa governor Hassan Ali Joho, Peter Kenneth and National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohamed.
