Tanzanian Bongo Flava Star Diamond Platnumz has once again proved that he is musically the King of East Africa.
This is after he successfully managed to persuade popular American Singer Jason Derulo to feature in his upcoming music video.
Diamond shared a screenshot of his conversation with Derulo. The screenshot revealed his conversation with Derulo about a collabo began in 2021.
“A big fan my brother and I would really like to feature you on my song bro,” he said.
In response, Derulo said, ” Let’s goo. Send me the files I’ll knock it out.”
Diamond who was impressed by the response said, “God bless you bro.”
The report comes few days after another popular American Singer Chris Brown stormed into social media and engaged in reel/TikTok challenge of Diamond Platnumz’s song Komasava. Chris Brown’s support for Diamond’s music came as a surprise and Diamond couldn’t hide his joy.
Diamond who is known for his popular hits like ‘Mapozi’, ‘Shu’, ‘Yatapita, and ‘My Baby’, has witnessed huge success in his music career. All of Diamond’s recent hits are a proof of his commitment to giving quality music. The songs have gained access to global market, and caught the attention of popular global figures like Chris Brown.
However, featuring Derulo will not be Diamond’s first International Collaboration. He has done several other projects like ‘Marry You’ and Neyo, ‘African Beauty’ featuring Omarion, ‘Waka’ featuring Rick Ross, and ‘Hallelujah’ featuring Jamaican reggae Band – Morgan Heritage.
Fans have now expressed their joy over the long awaited collabo that will feature the American Singer. His social media account enjoys over 30M followers.
