Arsenal young defender praised for his leadership skills

william Saliba has been praised for his presence on the pitch and great leadership skills he got.

The rise of William Saliba

Saliba who has been in two season loan since joining the gunners in 2019 made his first start for Gunners against the Eagles in 2-0 victory win grabbing the MOTM.

William Saliba since joining the North London side he has been fan’s favourite, this was evident last weekend when he unfortunately scored an own goal against the Foxes but unexpectedly the Arsenal supporters chanted “Do do do do Saliba” to encourage the French man.

Saliba has been a surprise to many for his standout performances since the start of this season getting a MOTM on his debut and scoring stunning and terrific goal against AFC Bournemouth yesterday.

Long serving Arsenal player Xhaka has poured praises on Saliba he told evening standard “People only see own goal but maybe hopefully they’ll see what game he had. This guy is 21 I think in his first game in the premier League for Arsenal he was unbelievable”

“You can see how he looks like he is 30. He has discipline and big character. He is not loud but he is proper leader in my eyes. You can see he is amazing he has a lot of quality and yeah we forget own goal because for 90 minutes he had a great, great game”.
