Last week, Kenyans Athletics Champion Faith Kipyegon made Kenya proud after bagging two gold medals. The Kenyan champion clocked 14:53.88 to become the first woman to win the 1500m and 5000m double. The 29-year-old now has Kenya’s two gold medals at the event that took place at Budapest, Hungary and she is expected to carry home Ksh. 19.9M.
The Marathoner has however caused a stir on social media after excluding his husband in the celebratory message.
On Sunday evening, Faith Kipyegon took to social media to express her joy in winning the two gold medals. The talented runner disclosed that this hear has been good to her. She attributed consistency and focus to her success in the Athletics.
“This has been an amazing year for me. Making history yesterday, winning two gold medals in a championship is what I was dreaming for this season.I have been consistent, focused on the finish line and on writing history. I will continue to push myself in the future,” she wrote.
Faith Went ahead and recognized her daughter, revealing that she challenges her to push beyond limits. She also appreciated the contribution of her coach, management and fans.
“My daughter gives me amazing support, she always tells me I can do it.Lastly I want to thank my amazing team, my coach, my management and all amazing fans!“
While responding to her post, Kenyans noted that she did not appreciate her husband. While camping on the comment section, the commenters expressed their displeasure, begging the runner forget him.

Faith Kipyegon is married to 2012 Olympics 800m bronze medalist Timothy Kiptun. Despite Faith being a World celebrity, very little is known about Kiptum.
The two lovebirds have daughter Alyn born in June August 2018.
