It is a new dawn for medical students as Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) introduces a new course – Diploma in mortuary Science .
Beginning march of 2023, any student willing to take up the course can apply through the official students application portal.
According to the giant medical school the course is the first ever in East and Central Africa.
KMTC further revealed that the curriculum for the new course was developed in conjunction with stakeholders from the ministry of health, University of Nairobi, JKUAT, and Masinde Muliro.
Applicants will be required to have at least a mean grade of C- in KCSE. The institution also said that the course will take three years. Those who already have a certification in mortuary training from recognized institutions will join the others in the second year.
