
The story of Linet Chepkorir is a cocktail of pure determination. This is after flooring the political heavyweights to clinch the Bomet Women Rep seat.
Linet Chepkorir popularly known as Toto first became a household name after trouncing the political heavyweights in the UDA party primaries. The young vibrant lady floored 10 other aspirants to clinch the UDA ticket for Bomet Women representative race.

The political candle of Toto was lit in 2021 when she attended the UDA aspirants’ meeting at William Ruto’s residence in Karen. The resilient young lady showed up in a yellow sweater and a cap. Her photos went viral on the internet.
The 24-year-old Chuka University says she has learned so much from her mother and is fit to serve the people of Bomet.
“As a lady and having stayed with my mother I know challenges women go through and I am ready to support them with available resources allocated to the office,” she said.

Linet Chepkorir graduated last year from Chuka University with a Bachelor’s degree in procurement. The third born in a family of seven says having served in served in several positions she is equipped to lead the people of Bomet County.
“I joined politics so that I can serve people well,” she added.
Toto has brought out insufficient funds as the major challenge she is facing. She is solely depending on well-wishers and friends for finances.
Linet Chepkorir will now face off with other aspirants during the August general elections.

"Somalia appreciates and is grateful for the support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which has nearly 30 members from Africa, for taking note and endorsing Somalia's nomination of Fawzia Yusuf Adam for the position of AU Chairperson for 2025-2028," Fiqi said.
