Russia President Vladimir Putin has congratulated William Ruto for trouncing Raila Odinga to becomes Kenya’s President elect.
In his statement, the non-nonsense President has hoped for good relation between Russia and Kenya.
“The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kenya has the honour to congratulate H.E Dr. William Samoei Ruto upon the announcement of him being elected as President of Kenya,” he stated
Vladimir Putin is among the word leaders who hailed William Ruto for the win.

The Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati declared Ruto’s win on 15th August. This was after he garnered 7,176,141votes followed closely by Raila Odinga, 6,942,930 votes.
