Moses Kuria Narrates How His Mother Used To Sell Bananas During Launch of Twiga Foods Distribution Center

If his words are true, then Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria is one of the prominent politicians who fit well as ‘Hustler’.

While speaking during the launch of Twiga Foods Distribution Center, Kuria narrated with nostalgia how his mother sold bananas to educate him.

“My mother used to sell bananas at Kawangware market. She moved everywhere in Kenya and Uganda sourcing for the produce,” Kuria said.

According to the CS, her mother had entrepreneurial mind but lacked enough capital and access to technology to expand her business.

“If she had access to good capital we would be speaking of a billionaire competing with the likes of Peter (Founder of Twiga Foods Distribution Center). At their times they could not access phones and the technology we are enjoying today,” he added.

Kuria further lauded DP Ruto’s Hustler Fund Program saying that it will help boost young traders.

Speaking In the event, President William Ruto who was the main guest, lauded governor Sakaja’s move to ban night clubs in the residential areas.

“I want to thank the governor of Nairobi, Johnson Sakaja for his efforts to uplift the standards of Nairobi City. I will fully support you in the noise reduction efforts,” he said.
