Fans of popular American rapper Kanye West have elicited mixed reactions on social media after initiating a drive to fund the Singer in order to reinstate him to the list of billionaires.
The talks began in a page dubbed ‘Make Kanye West Billionaire Again‘ after the rapper lost 2 billion dollars in a Day. His wealth dropped from billions to 400 million Kenyan shillings.
People were urged to give their contributions on the GoFundMe social dedia.
The star lost the money after Adidas terminated its contract with him following his hate speech.
Other companies like Gap, Footlocker, TJMaxx, and Balenciaga followed suite in terminating their contract with the singer.
The page was however pulled down over what was termed as violation of law and social media use. It is alleged that the fans had contributed large amount of money before the drive was cut short.
It is alleged that the singer received Ksh. 700 from people and Ksh. 5,000 from companies.
