A video of the father of said blogger-cum-teacher Albert Ojwang praising President William Ruto has sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans. In the video that has gone viral on social media, Meshack lauded the president for sharing in the pain of loosing his son.
In his statement, Albert noted that the President viewed Albert as if he was his own son. According to him, it was a privilege to receive a call from the president who picked him among several parents who had lost their children.
“I want to thank President William Ruto for sharing in the pain of loosing my son and taking the burden of calling me through my phone. There are many children that have lost their lives in the recent past but the president chose to call me. It is a great honour. I want to thank him very much,” he said.
While reacting to his sentiments, a section of Kenyans expressed frustration over his sudden change of tune. They urged him not to relentless in persuit for justice, despite overwhelming support from politicians.
