An accident along Homabay-Rongo road has left 3 dead and several others fighting for their lives.
A 14-passenger matatu reportedly lost control at the famous Arujo bridge.
Three people are reported to have died on the spot. 14 others were rushed to the HomaBay County referral hospital with serious injuries.
According to the witness, two matatus and a trailer were approaching the bridge when the accident happened.
“Two matatu and a trailer were approaching the bridge. As one of the matatu tried to avoid the oncoming vehicle it lost the control and rolled several times,” he said.
The witness has further revealed that three people died on the spot.
” As we rushed to rescue we realized 3 people had died on spot. 14 others had serious injuries,” he added.
